This workshop will discuss how children, parents, and families can cope with the consequences of the current economic situation. Will discuss how financial stressors could lead to confusion, depression, anxiety, abuse/neglect, violence, and gangs.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe current stressors facing families in today’s economic climate
• Describe how these stressors affect outcomes for children and families
• Define resilience
• Apply strategies to build coping skills and resilience in the families they are working with
